Well if you don’t and you are new to these parts…I have been working with her for almost 2 years and she is just as I describe..AWESOME

Over the course of 2 years she has accidentally become one of my closest gal pals and so when I found out she was preggers with a beautiful baby girl, it was instantaneous that us two put our heads together to start decorating the most precious of precious baby boho rooms..

Here is what life’s been like…according to my iPhone

The Duck, G and I took an adventure to the Natural History Museum in downtown Los Angeles.

we visited the dinos…

Boogied with some Bison

these antelope creatures, had real sketchy eyes…

I wanted to pet them still

Then we partied with some mountain goats… it was surreal

Can you believe this is Taxidermy???

I have never been to the Natural History Museum before and I was blown away..

Right outside the museum was the Butterfly Pavillion. It was a screened in greenhouse FILLED with butterflies and flowers. The monarch butterflies were beautiful…and numerous species just fluttered all around your head as you walked through the garden paths.

normally I would assume that this type of trippy nature stuff would only be cool when high….

but

I wasn’t high and it was amazeballs.

I saw Monarchs humping..

 I wore this outfit….because it was 900 degrees Celsius…

 then after my day of family fun…

it was back to work on a new client and checking in on some regulars!

my newest clients are bright and fun!

I have lovingly dubbed them “Client Cutie Pie’s” because seriously..I doubt there is a more fun and sweet family on the face of  planet earth…

Mama, Dad, and 2 beautiful babies…make 4 cutie pies.

I also paid “Client Awesome” a visit.

We messed around with a her nursery a bit and I checked in on the newly installed nursery bath wallpaper..could you just die!

this room is gonna be so flipping cute!

I also had some art framed…

look at the latest piece from jenny I bought. I have a major addiction to her crazy good art..

her colors are always perfect!

then, I picked up some chairs for another client and had a miraculous event occur with these side tables ..

all I can say is sometimes the design gods work in my favor and the earth and moon and stars line up just perfectly so that I may score the deal of a century…just sayin’

..and now here we are at Friday again, and I am off to Disneyland for the day just me and G and my BFF and her littleun..

No duck just us Moms and our 3 year olds..

Can I just tell you all how frickin hard it is to stay focused on one design idea when I knew it would be 5 months till I could install it all!

WELL IT IS

its my damn fault and that’s what I get when I opted to do everything in the room CUSTOM

16-18 week lead times deserve 2 thumbs down….

anyways it was worth the wait and it all came together great in the end

and..

2 thumbs up!

We went just for the day but it was so beautiful and fun to set out spontaneously on our day date without my little G in tow…

even if all we did was talk about her!

I made a couple of stops at some worthy stores and had some KILLER Mexican food and went beer tasting. I also did oodles of shopping for clients which is always fun!!!!

first stop. PORCH in Carpenteria.

They had a beautiful garden area where I got re-inspired to put mexican feather grass in Terra Cotta pots..

the duck enjoyed it as well

Then we were off to BOTANIK

I have been a long fan of this store but its been a while since I have been there…I am glad I was reminded how much awesome this store has to offer! Its a Neutral Palace…but I like it

Then MAGIC happened...no not that kind of magic you dirty birds.

Food Magic.

The kind of food magic where you dream of the meal in your sleep and would cut a bitch just to get some more..

 Los Agaves makes me weak in the knees and I may just drive there today to get some baja fish tacos to go

Holy SHIT it was good

 Next stop..State Street where I drank the best damn coffee I ever had at French Press, shopped at the always beautiful Rooms and Gardens, and found some crazy random spots worth taking pictures of.

BTW..I wore this outfit….It was comfy and cute if I do say so myself..

Back down the street we strolled and stopped into Raoul Textiles

The amazing cashwrap was hand painted…which was totally inspiring and made me think I should paint the crap tiles in my bathroom JUST LIKE THIS!

I bought some fabric for a new client…

and off we went to the Santa Barbara Brewing Co. & Resturaunt where we tried some beers and I got myself a lovely afternoon buzz..

I also discovered I was allergic to wheat beer because my throat started swelling closed…

but alls well that ends well.

This concludes my non-paid tourists review..

can I just say if you are ever in Southern California and are bored with nothing much to do…do yourself a favor and visit Santa Barbara.
