A Crafty DIY y’all should try

Every now and again I feel the urge to get my craft on. I have to admit I don’t fancy myself the craftiest of ladies. I like to think I am, but in actuality, I am pretty impatient and easily distracted. Don’t get me wrong..I partake in tha “act of craft” often, mainly with G..but if you thought I enjoyed it, well that was the old, less fidgety me. If I am gonna craft I want it to be fast and quick with an easy clean up, and little to no money. For the 4th of July festivities I bought some basic wooden bowls from World Market to have around for salsa, cut limes (for beer-garitas) , and guacamole. I thought they needed a little flare so I busted out the acrylic paints and got to crafting. These bowls are hand wash and cheap anyways, so I figured they were a good to experiment on, even if they came out crappy!

Luckily they turned out pretty cute

STEP 1: Buy some wooden bowls

STEP 2: Draw on your designs with a fine point sharpie

STEP 3: Paint in the designs

STEP 4: Put some stuff in the bowls and make your party cute.

Easy as that

  1. I feel your pain! I always feel like a craft should take me exactly as long as the instructions took me to read…which of course is NEVER the case. This is cute though and would be super easy. I bet you could paint on glass bowls too for a similar look.
